General Care Instructions

• Use for Intended Material Only: Only use the scissors to cut the material for which they were designed (e.g., fabric scissors for fabric only; hair shears for hair only). Cutting paper, plastic, or other materials with fabric shears will dull the blades.
• Keep Clean and Dry: Wipe the blades with a soft cloth periodically to remove lint, dust, or residue. Keep them away from moisture and steam from an iron to prevent rust. For models like the Kretzer FINNY household/textile scissors, the stainless steel allows them to be dishwasher-safe, but always check the specific product instructions first.
• Oil Regularly: Apply a drop of sewing machine oil or a similar refined, clear oil to the pivot screw area periodically, especially if they feel stiff. Open and close the scissors a few times to work the oil into the joint, then wipe off any excess oil to prevent it from getting on your materials.
• Store Safely: Store the scissors in a protective cover or a safe place to prevent the blades from getting nicked or damaged by contact with other metal objects.
• Adjust Tension: The pivot screw is adjustable. If the scissors feel too loose or too tight for the material you are cutting, you can adjust the screw as needed.

Sharpening

• Professional Service: Kretzer recommends using their professional sharpening service to maintain the special "BOTEC-CUT" edge and ensure the blades are perfectly aligned.
• Avoid Air Cutting: Do not "air cut" (snapping the blades in the air without cutting material), as this can dull the blades over time.
• Do Not Drop: Dropping the scissors can cause nicks or chips in the blades, which may require professional repair.

We want you to shop with confidence. If you’re not fully satisfied, you may request a return within 7 days of receiving your order, in line with UAE eCommerce regulations.

Return Eligibility
Items must be unused, in original packaging, with all tags intact and proof of purchase provided.

How to Return
Email onlinesales@mostafawi.ae within 7 days to initiate a return. Approved returns are subject to a AED 35 return shipping fee, borne by the customer. Items must be securely packed using the original protective materials.

Refunds
Once your return is inspected and approved, refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days.

Non-Returnable Items
Sale items, gift cards, custom orders, and products restricted for hygiene or safety reasons are not eligible for return.
