Care Instructions
xGeneral Care
- Wash ICEL knives by hand with mild detergent and a soft sponge immediately after use.
- Dry the blade and handle completely with a soft cloth to prevent stains and corrosion.
- Do not leave knives soaking in water or with food residue (especially salty or acidic foods) on the blade, as this can cause rust or corrosion spots.
- Use each knife for its intended purpose; avoid using kitchen knives to cut frozen foods, bones, or as a screwdriver or opener.
Dishwasher Use
- Only ICEL knives with plastic handles may be washed in the dishwasher, and this is still not the preferred method.
- If you use the dishwasher, first rinse the knife under running water, then place it with the blade separated from other objects, and remove and dry it immediately at the end of the cycle to reduce staining and corrosion risk.
- Knives with wooden handles must never be washed in the dishwasher or exposed to high temperatures and abundant water.
Wood Handle Knives
- Wash wood‑handled knives by hand only, with mild soap and lukewarm water, and never leave them submerged.
- Dry the handle thoroughly straight after washing to maintain stability, texture, color, and appearance.
- Periodically apply a small amount of mineral oil, beeswax, linseed oil, or coconut oil to the handle to moisturize, seal the wood, and revive the shine.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or heat, which can cause swelling, fading, and damage to the handle.
Sharpening and Edge Maintenance
- Keep your knives sharp; a dull knife is more dangerous because it requires more force and can slip more easily.
- With the exception of serrated knives, ICEL blades can recover their original cutting performance through proper sharpening.
- When using a sharpening steel, hold the blade at approximately a 10–15° angle and repeat the movement the same number of times on each side of the blade.
- If you are not confident using a steel or whetstone, or do not have a sharpener, have your knives serviced by a specialized sharpening service.
Storage
- Store ICEL knives in a knife block, on a magnetic bar, or in blade guards so edges are protected and not in contact with other utensils.
- Do not keep knives loose in a drawer, as this can damage the cutting edge and increase the risk of accidental cuts when reaching in.
- Always keep knives out of reach of children.

We want you to shop with confidence. If you’re not fully satisfied, you may request a return within 7 days of receiving your order, in line with UAE eCommerce regulations.
Return Eligibility
Items must be unused, in original packaging, with all tags intact and proof of purchase provided.
How to Return
Email onlinesales@mostafawi.ae within 7 days to initiate a return. Approved returns are subject to a AED 35 return shipping fee, borne by the customer. Items must be securely packed using the original protective materials.
Refunds
Once your return is inspected and approved, refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days.
Non-Returnable Items
Sale items, gift cards, custom orders, and products restricted for hygiene or safety reasons are not eligible for return.
